Trump Cabinet READY TO EXPLODE?!?!
Attorneys Brian Kabateck and Shant Karnikian examine the growing tension between Trump and his own Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, and make the case that she could be the next cabinet member to go. The combat veteran, former Democratic congresswoman from Hawaii, and Bernie Sanders endorser turned Trump appointee has found herself at odds with the president over the Iran war β the very kind of unnecessary military intervention she’s spent her career opposing. During Senate testimony, Gabbard contradicted Trump’s central claims, saying Iran’s regime was “intact but largely degraded” just two days after Trump said it had been “literally obliterated.” She declined to fully back the administration’s urgency narrative. Trump responded publicly by saying her views were “a little bit different” and “probably a little bit softer” than his. When counterterrorism director Joe Kent resigned in protest over the war, Trump was reportedly upset that Gabbard didn’t criticize him. According to Axios, Trump was privately polling cabinet members on whether to fire her until Roger Stone intervened, warning that it would turn her into a martyr within the anti-war MAGA base. Brian and Shant connect this to the broader pattern of Trump firing women in his cabinet β Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi are already gone β and note that MAGA continues to eat its own.
