President Donald Trump boarded Marine One to embark on a trip to China. He projected optimism about what will come from his meeting with America’s largest economic competitor, which also happens to be the largest trading partner of Iran, the country at war with the United States. Trump said he and Chinese President Xi Jinping will “have a long talk” about the Iran war, which Beijing has called illegitimate, and that Xi has been “relatively good” about the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports.
