Block Clubβs Block Party Returns Next Month With Local Vendors, Beer, Family Fun

BOWMANVILLE β Itβs just about that time of year again: We are just one month away from Block Clubβs 3rd annual block party.
Since 2024, our free block party has brought together thousands of neighbors for a day of music, local vendors, food, beer and fun for the whole family in celebration of independent local news.
This yearβs block party will be noon-9 p.m. Oct. 3 at Half Acre Beer Co., 2050 W. Balmoral Ave. Itβll have everything that makes a Chicago street fest so great β plus Block Club reporters, editors and other staff on hand throughout the day.
Admission is free. RSVPΒ here.
There are VIP ticket options for $80-$140. They include beer tickets, food tickets and Block Club swag. Learn more here.
Performers like the Old Town Schoolβs Wiggleworms and the Jesse White Tumblers will once again return to the main stage. Artists like DJ SKOLi and DJ Cam Be will also rock the crowd, and the Cosmic Underground Theater will display its amazing magic and mind-reading skills.
A kids zone will feature a Chicago Moonwalks bouncy house, a League of Enchantment character meet-and-greet and activities with the Englewood Arts Collective.
A special Block Club beer crafted by Half Acre will be on tap.
There will also be a live taping of the Block Club Chicago podcast with host Jon Hansen, as well as an hour of karaoke to close out the night.
Find the full performance schedule here.

As always, a slew of local vendors will be available to shop from, including Cafe Tola, Daniels Test Kitchen, Deep Field Perfumes, Everyoneβs Type Poetry, Haymarket Books, Igor Does My Bike, Ivy Hall and many more.
You can capture memories of the day in a Magic Moments Photo Booth β or by getting a caricature of yourself drawn by Terrible Portraits, the one-man art stand by Jacob Ryan Reno that delivers crude sketches of customers for a fiver. While the drawings started as a party joke, Reno caught the publicβs attention at the Logan Square Farmers Market and along the 606 trail last summer. He even made it all the way to βThe Drew Barrymore Show.β
The event includes a silent auction with prizes like a whiskey tasting experience, a Revolution Brewery tour package, dinners at local restaurants, books and more. See what you can bid on here.
And, of course, the latest in Block Club merchandise will be available for purchase.
