WATCH: Trump admits US war on ICC is to protect Netanyahu

Donald Trump has admitted that the US’ attempt to destroy the International Criminal Court (ICC) is about protecting wanted Israel’s Prime Minister and wanted war criminal, Benjamin ‘Bibi’ Netanyahu.

Trump’s Secretary of State Marco Rubio first tried to spin a tale about US sovereignty and a supposedly arrogant court. But Trump blew his confection out of the water in one sentence, as journalist Ahmed Eldin spotted.

At a White House press conference on Friday (31 July), the US president said that they’re not “after me”, but that it was about “protecting Bibi”.

Like pretty much everything he does, then.
