‘Trump-Epstein Bookmobile’ Coming To Andersonville Wednesday With President Set To Visit Area

ANDERSONVILLE — A traveling “bookmobile” featuring printed copies of the Epstein files is stopping in Chicago for a one-day public exhibition Wednesday, coinciding with President Donald Trump’s visit to the area.

The “Trump-Epstein Bookmobile” is coming to Andersonville’s Raygun shop, 5207 N. Clark St., from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday. It contains bound volumes containing the 3.5 million files that the U.S. Justice Department released as part of its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s massive sex-trafficking operation. 

The van, which is stopping in cities across the country, is serving as an accessible complement to the traveling Trump-Epstein Reading Rooms installations created in partnership by the Institute of Primary Facts and Defiance.org to keep Epstein’s crimes and association with Trump in the public consciousness.

The bookmobile began touring in late July, first stopping in Washington, D.C. The Trump-Epstein Reading Rooms first opened in New York in May and feature larger prints than their bookmobile counterparts. The rooms are open to the public by appointment and have drawn more than 15,000 visitors to its New York and Washington exhibitions. An installation is currently open in Dallas.

“This is not just a New York or D.C. story,” said David Garrett, executive director for the Institute for Primary Facts. “We are bringing the Epstein files on the road — across dozens of cities and states — to remind Americans everywhere: accountability matters and justice delayed is justice denied.”

Garrett described the files on display as representing “deep institutional failures,” and years of “turning blind eyes” to Epstein and his enablers and the pain experienced by survivors in isolation. He said tour organizers will continue to demand the release of the remaining Justice Department files, “call out redactions that protect the powerful and open dialogue between survivors and the American public.”

Epstein, a New York-based financier with widely documented connections to powerful world leaders, business executives and academics, was found dead in his jail cell in 2019 from an apparent suicide as he awaited trial on sex trafficking charges for incidents in the early 2000s, with many of his crimes involving minors.

He is alleged to have groomed, sexually abused and trafficked hundreds of women and underaged girls throughout the late 1990s and 2000s with his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell. His death sparked public outrage and a proliferation of conspiracy theories pertaining to his dealings with prominent public figures, including Trump, England’s Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Microsoft CEO Bill Gates and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.

The Epstein files were released in periodic drops throughout 2025 and 2026, with many pages at least partially or fully redacted. Trump’s name is mentioned thousands of times throughout the unsealed documents.

Now, they’ll be on display for one day in Chicago. The portable extension of the reading room installations feature print sizes compressed inside roughly 440 volumes that each contain 800 pages to fit the size constraints of the van, spokesperson Jade Klain told Block Club.

“The bookmobile, because it is mobile, can be physically driven to a lot more places than like a brick-and-mortar reading room,” Klain said. “In the reading rooms, the files that are publicly available are printed off, bounded in books and then stacked floor to ceiling. The bookmobile is essentially a mini version of that.”

The bookmobile’s visit to Chicago comes as Trump is slated to visit the area this week for the The Presidents Cup, a golf tournament taking place this weekend in the suburbs, Axios reported.
