In Everett, WA, in a nondescript alleyway, Jaxen “Snacks” McInnis created the world’s first snack museum in his slender one-car garage. Boxes of special edition Twinkies, cans of novelty sodas, and potato chips in every imaginable flavor, from countries around the world, are stacked from floor-to-ceiling at The Snackin’ Shack. It’s a vibrant display of nostalgia, pop culture and questionable flavor combinations. Jaxon also sells a small selection of snacks, so you can satisfy your cravings for Sour Patch Kids Oreos or Taiwanese Thick Cut Grilled Ribs Lays.  

For the last 12 years, Warnessa Victoria’s cult cafe, Lizzie Lou’s Too, was quietly tucked away inside the Fife Destination Harley Davidson – no sign out front, no menu on the website. But her impossibly creamy, flavorful shrimp and grits got people talking, and chairs filled up thanks to word of mouth. The dealership was recently sold and unfortunately Lizzie Lou’s was forced to close, but she’s looking for a new location in the South Sound.
