The billionaire backing Lisa Demuthβs run for governor

House Speaker Lisa Demuthβs gubernatorial campaign is being bankrolled by the owner of Wisconsin-based shipping and packaging supplies company Uline, the Minnesota Reformer reports.
A national political action committee largely funded by Republican megadonor Richard Uihlein has pumped about $1.1 million into a PAC associated with Demuthβs campaign, giving her a significant fundraising advantage over her GOP gubernatorial primary opponents Kendall Qualls and Mike Lindell.
Demuthβs campaign, nor the PAC supporting her campaign, responded to the Reformerβs requests for comments.
