Upcoming housing and land use-related events:

• Tuesday, July 21 at 9:30 a.m.: The Landmarks Preservation Commission will meet. More here.
• Tuesday, July 21 at 11 a.m.: The NYC Council’s Subcommittee on Zoning and Franchises will meet regarding the following land use applications: 200 Kent Avenue Rezoning, 47-03 108th Street Rezoning, and Flatiron NoMad Major Concessions. More here.
• Tuesday, July 21 at 6 p.m.: The Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) will host a “community town hall for open dialogue regarding the City’s capital funding for the museum’s building purchase and the construction of the new jail in Chinatown.” More here.
• Wednesday, July 22 at 11 a.m.: The NYC Council’s Subcommittee on Landmarks, Public Sitings, Resiliency and Dispositions will meet regarding the Queens CD 2 Walk to Park Site Selection/Acquisition, which seeks approval for the acquisition and site selection of privately-owned properties for future park development to close the walk to park gap in Queens Community District 2 (Long Island City and Woodside). • Wednesday, July 22 at 6 p.m.: The City Club of New York will host “Reframing the Affordability Debate: Housing as the Foundation of Community” featuring city planner and activists Ron Shiffman. More here.  
• Thursday, July 23 at 12 p.m.: Rebuild By Design, Waterfront Alliance, and The City Sponge, with support from Con Edison, will host a Zoom panel on how small homeowners in New York City can protect their properties from flooding. More here.
• Saturday, July 25, 1 to 4 p.m.: The People’s Coalition to Stop Deed Theft will host a rally in Harlem for victims of deed theft, advocates and elected officials to share stories and prevention resources. More here.
• Saturday, July 25, 3 to 6 p.m.: Participants in StartUp NYCHA, a program for entrepreneurs and small business owners living in public housing, will present their business concepts during this networking and showcase event at the Fulton Community Center in Chelsea. More here.
• Monday, July 27 at 1 p.m.: The City Planning Commission will hold a public review session; the agenda has not yet been posted. More here.

NYC Affordable Housing Lotteries: The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) are closing lotteries on the following subsidized buildings over the next week.

• 106 Fleet Place Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $75,669 – $146,560 (last day to apply is 7/22)
• 223 East 117th Street, Manhattan, for households earning between $49,166 – $81,420 (last day to apply is 7/23)
• 2351 Lorillard Place Apartments, Bronx, for households earning between $58,046 – $152,700 (last day to apply is 7/24)
• 163 Willoughby Street Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $75,669 – $146,560 (last day to apply is 7/27)
