Upcoming housing and land use-related events:

• Monday, July 13 at 1 p.m.: The NYC Planning Commission will hold a public review session on the following projects: 50-01 Queens Boulevard Rezoning, Herald Center Signage Text Amendment and SP, 289 Kent Avenue Rezoning, 69-67 108th Street Rezoning, Dewitt Clinton Park North (801 Eleventh Avenue), Dewitt Clinton Park North (629 West 54th Street), and Monitor Point. The Commission will also review proposed rulemaking to implement the city’s new Expedited Land Use Review Procedure and the Affordable Housing Appeals Board, changes passed by voters last year. • Tuesday, July 14 at 9:30 a.m.:The city’s Landmarks Preservation Commission will meet. More here.
• Tuesday, July 14 at 10:30 a.m.: The NYC Council’s Subcommittee on Landmarks, Public Sitings, Resiliency and Dispositions will meet regarding the following landmarks applications: Public School 15 Annex, Church of Saint Mary, Lithuanian Alliance Building, 511 West 171 Street ANCP Cluster, East Harlem/El Barrio Article XI Amendment, and plans for a new 801-seat high school on Staten Island. • Tuesday, July 14 at 11 a.m.: The NYC Council’s Subcommittee on Zoning and Franchises will meet about the following projects: 164th Street Rezoning, 69-67 108th Street Rezoning, 198-208 Richmond Terrace, 2950 West 24th Street Rezoning, 63-02 Fresh Pond Road Rezoning, 1160 Pugsley Avenue Rezoning, and 1166 Bedford Avenue Rezoning. • Tuesday, July 14 at 11:30 a.m.: The NYC Council’s Committee on Land Use will meet about the following projects: Public School 15 Annex, Church of Saint Mary, Lithuanian Alliance Building, 511 West 171 Street ANCP Cluster, East Harlem/El Barrio Article XI Amendment, plans for a new 801-seat high school on Staten Island, 164th Street Rezoning, 69-67 108th Street Rezoning, 198-208 Richmond Terrace, 2950 West 24th Street Rezoning, 63-02 Fresh Pond Road Rezoning, 1160 Pugsley Avenue Rezoning, and 1166 Bedford Avenue Rezoning. The committee will also consider a bill related to restrictions on the location of buildings and other structures on Eastern parkway. More here.
• Tuesday, July 14 at 1 p.m.: The East Midtown Public Realm Improvement Fund Governing Group will hold its annual budget meeting on Zoom. More here.
• Tuesday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m.: The Economic Development Corp. will host a public info session on plans to redevelop the Brooklyn Marine Terminal in Red Hook. More here.
• Wednesday, July 15, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Center for an Urban Future will host “Leveraging Affordable Housing to Advance Economic Mobility in NYC.” More here.
• Wednesday, July 15 at 10 a.m.: The NYC Planning Commission will vote on the following projects: 815 Hutchinson River Parkway Rezoning, 5204 Arlington Avenue, 862-868 Kent Avenue, 158-06 Northern Boulevard Rezoning, 21-31 46th Ave Rezoning, 51 Cedarcliff Road, 23 Cedarcliff Road – Lot: 125, 4450 Arthur Kill Road, Lipsett Avenue – Street End Stabilization, and 108 Scribner Avenue. The Commission will hold public hearings for 69-67 108th Street Rezoning and 289 Kent Avenue Rezoning. More here.
• Wednesday, July 15 at 1 p.m.: The NYC Council’s committees on Finance and Housing and Buildings will hold a joint oversight hearing on how to finance and preserve the city’s Mitchell-Lama housing. More here.
• Thursday, July 16, 6 to 8 p.m.: Public Land for Public Good will host “Reclaiming Our City” a community discussion on the city’s efforts to fast-track public land for development, featuring several land use activists and moderated by city planning Ron Shiffman. More here.
• Friday, July 17, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene will be at the Sheepshead Bay Library providing information on how to maintain a healthy home (lead poisoning prevention, controlling pest safely, getting rid of mold, and safety devices such as a carbon monoxide detector and a smoke detector). • Saturday, July 18 at 12 p.m.: Village Preservation will hold a rally calling for the city to landmark the Most Holy Redeemer Church at 173 East 3rd St. More here.

NYC Affordable Housing Lotteries: The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) are closing lotteries on the following subsidized buildings over the next week.

• 1004 Summit Avenue Apartments, Bronx, for households earning between $75,840 – $122,160 (last day to apply is 7/13)
• 104 Fleet Place Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $75,669 – $146,560 (last day to apply is 7/14)
• 269 Van Cortlandt Avenue E, Bronx, for households earning between $75,703 – $168,320 (last day to apply is 7/16)
• Rialto West, Manhattan, for households earning between $39,155 – $294,560 (last day to apply is 7/20)
• 645 Park Place Aka 711 Franklin Avenue Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $74,778 – $238,160 (last day to apply is 7/20)
• 343 Himrod Street Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $49,989 – $128,240 (last day to apply is 7/20)
