For 46 years, the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival has been one of the Bay Area’s most vital celebrations of independent cinema, rooted in Jewish culture and values but universal in its scope, diversity, and celebration of visual storytelling. With SFJFF46 in full swing, this year’s lineup has something for everyone, from the devoted cinephile to the festival first-timer. 

Join us July 24–26 at the historic Roxie Theater for commissioned live audiovisual performances and premieres of independent films from some of the freshest filmmakers working today. SFJFF46 at the Roxie is your chance to discover daring cinema that pushes the envelope: politically, culturally, and artistically.

This year’s stacked Roxie lineup features:

mdbr mdbr: Pushing the boundaries of sound and image, Yeah Yeah Yeahs drummer Brian Chase and Bay Area multimedia artist Annie Albagli present a commissioned live performance that explores the concept of wilderness. Saturday, July 25, 6pm • tickets

Only Good Feelings (World Premiere): After his fiancée’s death, Benny is pulled into an escalating series of crimes with his polarizing best friend, racing towards Mexico as violence, betrayal, and his past close in with no way out.
