Finding creative approaches to stories that matter

I listened to a podcast recently about the relationship between uncertainty and creativity. Tolerate some uncertainty, it said, and you can crack open more room for creativity. It offered simple ways to practice, too, like turning off your GPS and finding a new way home.
Uncertainty feels in high supply these days, particularly if you pay attention to the news. But every day, Iβm inspired by MinnPost reporters who turn off their internal GPS, settle into the uncertainty of daily life in 2026, and find creative approaches to the stories that matter most to our communities.
Theyβre out there wandering the side streets and the quiet hallways, meeting people whose stories are overlooked, listening for the odd detail that others tune out.
Their work, and your support of it, matters so very much. It reminds us who we are, inspires us to engage, and builds for each of us a sense of place. Yes, there is uncertainty, but we can tolerate it much longer if we know who we are β together β and where we come from.
If our work has helped you understand Minnesota a little better, and your place in it, please consider supporting us with a monthly gift during our Summer Member Drive.
