Charlie Kirk’s Security Chief SUES Candace Owens for DEFAMATION

Attorneys Brian Kabateck and Shant Karnikian cover the MAGA civil war playing out in federal court. Brian Harpole, who was standing next to Charlie Kirk when he was fatally shot at Utah Valley University in September 2025, has sued Candace Owens for defamation. Owens fabricated a conspiracy theory on her podcast that Harpole met with Army intelligence officers and Kirk’s widow at Fort Huachuca to plan the assassination. She spread these claims to six million YouTube subscribers, calling Kirk’s security team “shady.” The complaint says every statement is “either false on its face or creates a false meaning.” This isn’t Owens’s only legal problem: French First Lady Brigitte Macron is also suing her after Owens claimed Macron was born a man. Trump himself has turned on Owens, calling her an “extremely low IQ individual” on Truth Social. Brian and Shant survey the broader Owens record: defending Kanye West’s anti-Semitic remarks, saying her only problem with Hitler was that “he was a globalist,” and downplaying slavery. The takeaway: the MAGA movement was never a real coalition, just factions trying to stab each other in the back.
