Boy, 13, Wounded In Portage Park Drive-By Shooting
PORTAGE PARK β A 13-year-old boy was wounded in a drive-by shooting in Portage Park on Monday evening, police said.
Shortly after 8 p.m. Monday, the boy was standing outside in the 6000 block of West Montrose Avenue when a person in a dark-colored SUV driving past fired shots, hitting him in the left leg, police said.
The Chicago Fire Department treated the teen at the scene, and he was taken to Lutheran General Hospital. He is currently in βgood condition,β according to police.
Police said no arrests have been made and that the incident is under investigation.
