Border wall contractors destroy 3 of 4 large cottonwoods in Southern Az hamlet

Contractors for the border wall project near Lochiel, Ariz., uprooted and splintered three large cottonwood trees Monday, and may have violated federal promises to delay the destruction of the venerable trees to protect migrating birds.
