Hereβs your weekly events roundup for Tuesday, August 10 to Sunday, August 16 in Ballard.
One highlight this week is the PhinneyWood Art Walk, which celebrates its 30th anniversary with two days of art at venues throughout Phinney and Greenwood. Other events include music bingo, book trivia, an outdoor screening of βThe Princess Bride,β Romance Bookstore Day, and community yoga.
Tuesday, August 11
- Free Music Bingo, Channel Marker Cider, 7 β 9 p.m.
- Test your music knowledge at a bingo night where players match songs instead of numbers and compete for prizes.
Wednesday, August 12
- A Night of Italian Cocktails & Craft, Niche, 6 β 8:30 p.m.
- Learn bargello, a type of needlework built around geometric patterns, during an evening of crafting and Italian-inspired cocktails.
- Book Trivia at The Ink Drinker, 8 β 9:30 p.m.
- Test your literary knowledge at The Ink Drinker, with prizes for first, second and third place. Solo players and teams are welcome, and thereβs no entry fee.
- Drinkers with Knitting Problems, Hazlewood, 8 β 11 p.m.
- Bring along a knitting, crochet, embroidery, sewing or other fiber project for an evening of crafting with happy hour and drink specials, including nonalcoholic options.
Thursday, August 13
- Musical Act: Griefcat (including Romantasy hits), Swoon City, 6:30 β 7:15 p.m.
- Musical comedy duo Griefcat, formed by Annie Nardolilli and Louisa Hall, will perform at Swoon City, including songs inspired by romantasy.
Friday, August 14
- PhinneyWood Art Walk β The BIG One!, Phinney and Greenwood, 6 β 9 p.m. Friday and noon β 5 p.m. Saturday
- The PhinneyWood Art Walk marks its 30th anniversary with work by local artists displayed at participating businesses and venues throughout the Phinney and Greenwood neighborhoods.
- Outdoor Movie Night, Crown Hill Park, 7 β 11 p.m.
- βThe Princess Brideβ returns to Crown Hill Park for a free outdoor family movie night. The event includes free popcorn and games before the film. Attendees are encouraged to bring low chairs or blankets.
Saturday, August 15
- PhinneyWood Art Walk β The BIG One!, Phinney and Greenwood, noon β 5 p.m.
- The second day of the 30th annual PhinneyWood Art Walk continues Saturday afternoon at participating venues throughout the neighborhood.
- Romance Bookstore Day, Swoon City, 10 a.m. β 6 p.m.
- Swoon City will celebrate Romance Bookstore Day with a day of events featuring authors, including Penny Reid.
- Jaysea Lynn in Conversation with Devrie Brynn Donalson & Book Signing, Swoon City, 6 β 8 p.m.
- Jaysea Lynn, author of βFor Whom the Belle Tollsβ and the forthcoming βThe Belles of Wrath,β will appear in conversation with author Devrie Brynn Donalson, followed by a book signing.
Sunday, August 16
- Ballard Farmerβs Market, Ballard Ave, 9 a.m. β 2 p.m.(recurring)
- Open since 2000, the Ballard Farmers Market is Seattleβs first year-round neighborhood farmers market selling produce exclusively from Washington state farmers. The Market has operated along the historic cobblestone stretch of Ballard Avenue NW between Vernon Place and 22nd Avenue.
- Community Yoga with Flood Yoga, National Nordic Museum, 8:45 β 9:45 a.m.
- Flood Yoga will lead a slow-flow class at the National Nordic Museum. The gently paced vinyasa practice is open to all experience levels.
- RockMomEnough Show β Parenting Parody Rock Show (All Ages), Old Stove Ship Canal, 6 β 7 p.m.
- Seattle all-mom parody rock band RockMomEnough performs familiar rock songs reworked into songs about parenting, including packing lunches, middle-of-the-night wakeups, carpools and screen time.
