In a move alarming to victims of Iranian terrorism, including 9/11 survivors and families, the U.S. last week dropped its seven-year-old criminal case alleging that Turkeyβs state-owned lender, Halkbank, participated in a multi-billion-dollar scheme to help Iran evade American economic sanctions.
